Instead of messages appearing instantly as before, they now slide onto the screen with a dynamic animation effect. Numerous users took to social media to express their frustration, with some describing the animation as nauseating and others initially mistaking it for a device malfunction. Fortunately, WhatsApp provides an easy way to disable the new animation. Users can go to the app's settings, select the "Appearance" tab, and turn off the message animation feature to revert to the previous experience.
