American Guard Kendal McCollum Signs with Israeli Team Ironi Eilat
Ironi Eilat, newly promoted to the Israeli Basketball Premier League, announced the signing of American point guard Kendal McCollum for the upcoming season on July 15, 2026. McCollum, 30, is a well-known player in the Israeli league, having previously played two seasons with Maccabi Ramat Gan, where he established himself as one of the league's top point guards.
After several seasons playing in Germany, Finland, Lithuania, and Poland, McCollum joined Maccabi Ramat Gan and earned recognition in the 2024/25 season by being named to the league's All-Star Five. That season, he averaged 15.2 points and 7 assists per game, won Player of the Month honors, and was selected five times to the weekly All-Star lineup. He also delivered notable performances in the Basketball Champions League, scoring 21 and 23 points against AEK Athens.
Most recently, McCollum played for Promitheas Patras in Greece, where he averaged 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in the Greek league, and 11.4 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League, shooting 33.3% from three-point range. Ironi Eilat praised McCollum as an experienced playmaker with excellent court vision and the ability to create scoring opportunities for himself and teammates.
