American Guard Kendal McCollum Signs with Israeli Basketball Team Ironi Eilat

Ironi Eilat, newly promoted to the Israeli Basketball Premier League, announced the signing of American point guard Kendal McCollum for the upcoming season on July 15, 2026. McCollum, 30, is a well-known figure in the Israeli league, having previously played two seasons with Maccabi Ramat Gan where he established himself as one of the league's top point guards.

After several seasons playing in Germany, Finland, Lithuania, and Poland, McCollum joined Ramat Gan and earned significant accolades, including a spot on the 2024/25 season's All-League First Team. That season, he averaged 15.2 points and 7 assists per game, was named Player of the Month, and was selected five times for the league's weekly best lineup. He also delivered strong performances in European competition, notably scoring 21 and 23 points against AEK Athens in the Basketball Champions League.

Most recently, McCollum played for Promitheas Patras in Greece, where he averaged 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in the Greek league, and 11.4 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game in the Basketball Champions League, shooting 33.3% from three-point range.
