Hapoel Eilat Signs Experienced Guard Bryant Crawford for Upcoming Season
Newly promoted Hapoel Eilat has signed American point guard Bryant Crawford for the upcoming season, the Israeli Basketball Premier League club announced Friday. Crawford, 29, stands at 1.91 meters and joins from German club Löwen Braunschweig.
Crawford brings a wealth of international experience, having previously played in Italy and Lithuania before his stint in Germany. He began his professional career in Israel during the 2018-19 season with Hapoel Galil Elyon. His European journey includes stops with Juventus Utena (Lithuania), Reggio Emilia (Italy), Samsunspor, and Bursaspor (Turkey).
In his most recent role with Löwen Braunschweig, Crawford averaged 14.6 points and 4.5 assists per game. His college career was spent at Wake Forest University.
Eilat's coach, Oren Aharoni, expressed enthusiasm about the signing, describing Crawford as a "quality and experienced guard" who will bring "toughness and intensity to both ends of the court." Aharoni is confident Crawford will integrate quickly and contribute to the team's season goals.
