Grenade Thrown at Jafnika Branch in Northern Israel Amid Crime Family Feud

A grenade was thrown early Wednesday morning at a Jafnika convenience store branch in Rosh Pina, continuing a recent wave of attacks against the chain across Israel. Police responded to reports of an explosion and found the scene where the grenade was thrown at the business. No injuries were reported, and an investigation is underway. Authorities suspect the incident is linked to an ongoing violent dispute between major crime families.

The conflict involves two prominent crime organizations: the Musli family from the Tikva neighborhood allied with the Hariri family, and the Jerushi family from Ramla allied with Eyad Nahia. Police believe the violence stems from disputes over profits in forex and cryptocurrency markets. Several Jafnika branches have been targeted recently, including locations in Ness Ziona, Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Netanya, and Afula.

Jafnika is owned by businessman and Beitar Jerusalem football club owner Barak Abramov, who was recently questioned by Tel Aviv police. Abramov denied any involvement or knowledge of the attacks, stating, "I don't understand where this is coming from. I have no enemies, owe no one money, and no one owes me. I have no connection to these events and don't believe anyone is trying to harm me personally or extort me." He is not currently a suspect and is considered a victim of the ongoing violence.

Police units including Lahav 433 and the Tel Aviv district are actively pursuing additional suspects. Yossi Musli, a key figure in the Musli family, was arrested and is set to appear in court soon. Authorities expect further arrests as the investigation continues.
