Grenade Thrown at Jafnika Restaurant in Ongoing Crime Family Conflict in Northern Israel

A grenade was thrown overnight at a Jafnika restaurant branch in Rosh Pina, near the home of associates of the Musli crime family. Police were dispatched immediately and have launched an investigation into the incident. This attack appears to be part of a series of violent acts targeting Jafnika branches, which began the previous day with grenade attacks on multiple locations.

In the past 48 hours, there have been several assaults on Jafnika outlets: shootings at the Givatayim branch, arson at its entrance a day earlier, a grenade thrown at the Kiryat Ono branch, a pipe bomb explosion near the Ramat Gan branch, and grenade attacks at branches in Netanya and Afula. There is also suspicion of gunfire at the Herzliya branch.

These events are linked to an ongoing violent feud between the Musli and Jarushi crime families. Jafnika is owned by businessman Barak Abramov, who also owns the Beitar Jerusalem football club. Abramov was once associated with the Musli brothers but has recently aligned with the Jarushi family. Police believe the recent attacks are deliberate and part of a power struggle between the two crime organizations. Authorities have expressed concern that if the escalation continues, it could soon result in loss of life.
