IDF Confirms Iranian Missile Hit at Ramat David Airbase
During the Iranian attack on the Israeli home front, the air defense system intercepted an Iranian missile over the skies above Ramat David Airbase in northern Israel. As a result, one of the interception fragments fell on a forklift and struck it, a senior military official said, "This is a minimal hit, with no injury to anyone." Earlier today, the Iranian news agency Fars reported that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had attacked the Nevatim and Tel Nof air bases in Israel, in response to the strike on radar sites in Iran.
Earlier today, the Jordanian army announced that overnight it had intercepted five missiles launched from Iran toward the Al-Azraq area in Zarqa Governorate. A Jordanian source reported that as a result of the interception, several fragments fell, but there were no casualties and no property damage. Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran said in a statement that it had "attacked an American military base in Jordan that hosted American forces using long-range missiles," as well as other American military targets in the area, following the latest wave of American strikes, which it said came in response to the downing of a U.S. Army helicopter.
On Sunday, after launching missiles toward Israel, the Air Force opened a wave of strikes in Iran. The IDF said military targets of the regime were struck in western and central Iran. Later, the IDF announced in the morning hours that the Air Force also struck a petrochemical plant in the Mahshahr complex in western Iran.
In his first statement to the media since the start of the exchanges of fire with Tehran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "In the past 24 hours, Iran and Hezbollah tried to impose a new equation on us, and this equation is intolerable and unacceptable to me." According to him, "They thought they could fire from Lebanese and Iranian territory at Israel, and that we would not act." Netanyahu said this did not happen and will not happen: "Not on my watch!" "As I have done for decades, I firmly stand on our right to act against our enemies. That is how we acted now as well."
