IDF Kills Hamas Military Security Chief in North Gaza Strike
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an airstrike in northern Gaza on Tuesday, killing Muhammad Marwan Muhammad Salem, the military security chief of Hamas's Central Jabalia Brigade. The strike also eliminated several other Hamas operatives, including Abd al-Malik Abu al-Jabin, a senior operative and head of investigations in Hamas police; Yaman Muhammad Gabriel Abid, a member of the Central Jabalia Brigade; and Ghassan Akram Salama Daks, affiliated with the Western Jabalia Brigade and Hamas police.
According to the IDF, these militants had recently gathered to plan and execute terror activities, prompting the preemptive strike to neutralize the threat. The IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under existing agreements and will continue operations to eliminate immediate dangers.
The operation underscores ongoing Israeli efforts to disrupt Hamas military infrastructure in the Gaza Strip amid persistent security concerns.
