Pandan Invests NIS 200 Million in Nationwide Bus Service Centers Network
Pandan, an Israeli vehicle importer specializing in buses, is investing approximately NIS 200 million to establish four service centers across Israel. This marks the company's first venture into operating service centers, expanding beyond its traditional role of bus importation and supply. The initial center, inaugurated this week in Atarot, Jerusalem, spans about 6.5 dunams and cost around NIS 50 million. It will serve as a maintenance and service hub for both public and private transportation operators.
In addition to the Jerusalem site, Pandan has acquired land in Ramla and Ashkelon totaling roughly 40 dunams, where it plans to build additional service centers and a logistics center. The company is also in advanced stages of opening another service center in Beersheba. To support this expansion, Pandan is recruiting approximately 150 skilled workers to enhance its maintenance and service capabilities.
Owned by Dan Transportation Company and businessmen Yoel Weiss and Roni Ben Yosef, Pandan aims to provide customers with comprehensive services including maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, spare parts, and technical support. The Jerusalem center is expected to serve major Israeli transportation companies such as Electra Afikim and Metropoline. Pandan has sold about 3,500 buses, including electric models, to public and private operators in Israel and supplies 600 to 700 buses annually, with 200 delivered this year to Egged.
The company also operates in Portugal and Spain and recently signed new supply agreements in Europe. According to CEO Eran Zeitler, the service network responds to the growing public transportation sector in Israel, expanding bus fleets, and the need for professional, accessible maintenance systems. He stated, "Our vision is to provide customers with a full service package based on extensive practical experience in the transportation industry."
