Israeli Air Force Appoints First Female Brigadier General as Air Attaché in Washington
Brigadier General G, commander of Ovda Airbase, was appointed as the Israeli Air Force's air attaché in Washington, becoming the first woman in the Air Force to hold the rank of brigadier general. She enlisted in 2003, completed pilot training, and served as a transport pilot. G was also the first woman to command the "Nachshon" squadron and the first to lead an airbase. Previously, Judith Grisaro advanced to colonel within the Air Force and later received the brigadier general rank as the IDF Chief of Staff's advisor on women's affairs and head of the personnel branch.
