Bnei Sakhnin Continues Talks with Larry Kayode Ahead of Hungary Training Camp
Bnei Sakhnin is set to depart for a training camp in Hungary on Monday, where they will play three preparatory matches ahead of the 2026/27 season. The team, coached by Yossi Abukasis, is working to strengthen its squad, particularly in defense and attack. Right-back Guy Herman, who previously played for Beitar Jerusalem and was part of Maccabi Herzliya's promotion campaign last season, will join the squad to fill the gap left by Alon Azougi's transfer to Maccabi Netanya.
The club is actively negotiating with Nigerian striker Larry Kayode, who is the leading candidate to replace Arthur Marinian, whose option was not exercised. Kayode, 33, has prior experience in Israeli football, having had a successful stint with Maccabi Netanya early in his career. His transfer history includes a 3.8 million euro move to Manchester City in 2017, followed by loans to Girona and Shakhtar Donetsk, the latter of which later purchased him for 3 million euros.
Additionally, four youth players, Karem Zubaidat, Mohammed Abu Ria, Ali Ghanama, and Sobhi Abu Younes, will also join the team at the camp. Bnei Sakhnin continues to seek reinforcements for their central defense, midfield, and forward positions as they prepare for the upcoming season.
