Bnei Sakhnin Negotiates Return of Nigerian Striker Larry Kayode for Upcoming Season
Bnei Sakhnin is in talks with Nigerian striker Larry Kayode, who previously played for Maccabi Netanya and Manchester City, about a possible return to Israeli football. Kayode, 33, scored 17 goals last season for Turkish club Iğdırspor and has recently become a free agent after his contract ended. He had a successful stint at Maccabi Netanya early in his career, 13 years ago, and was acquired by Manchester City in 2017 for 3.8 million euros. Following that, he was loaned to Girona and Shakhtar Donetsk, with the latter purchasing him for 3 million euros. Over the past three years, Kayode played in Turkey, and his name has also been linked in the past to Beitar Jerusalem.
In parallel, Bnei Sakhnin held a special fan event on Saturday where they outlined their vision for the upcoming season. The club emphasized integrating young players from their youth academy and strengthening ties with their supporters by establishing a fan committee to maintain ongoing communication with management. They also plan to expand their public relations department and deepen community engagement.
