Bnei Sakhnin CEO Khaled Dooki Confirms Larry Kayode Agreed to Join Before Signing Elsewhere

Bnei Sakhnin is actively working to strengthen its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season, but the club faces significant challenges in signing foreign players. CEO Khaled Dooki explained in an interview with Sport 5 that while the club has already signed four foreign players, they are still pursuing two or three more, including a striker, a defender, and a right-back. However, negotiations often fall through at the last moment due to players' personal reasons or changing decisions.

Dooki specifically addressed the case of Larry Kayode, a key target for the club. He revealed that both the club and Kayode, through his Israeli agent, had agreed on terms and were confident he would join. Despite this, Kayode delayed the process repeatedly and ultimately signed with a Turkish club instead. Dooki also mentioned similar issues with other players who withdrew due to family reasons or other personal circumstances.

The CEO emphasized that these difficulties are not unique to Bnei Sakhnin but affect other clubs as well. He expressed the club's ambition to improve its reputation both in Israel and internationally, despite the ongoing challenges in securing foreign talent.
