Bnei Sakhnin Pursues Romanian Midfielder Antonio Spear Amid Transfer Challenges

Bnei Sakhnin has traveled to Győr, Hungary, for their training camp as they work to strengthen their squad following a major overhaul this summer, particularly among foreign players. The club is actively trying to sign Antonio Spear, a talented Romanian midfielder currently with Bnei Reineh. Spear holds a contract worth 200,000 euros, but the transfer faces financial hurdles as Bnei Reineh demands either a transfer fee or a loan fee, complicating the deal. Despite these obstacles, Bnei Sakhnin remains determined to finalize an agreement that would see Spear join their ranks for the upcoming season.

Antonio Spear joined Hapoel Be'er Sheva in summer 2023 and played there for one and a half seasons before being loaned to Poland's Motor Lublin in January 2025. Last season, he scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Bnei Reineh in the Israeli Premier League. Meanwhile, Bnei Sakhnin is also awaiting the arrival of Nigerian striker Larry Kayode, whose terms have been agreed upon in principle. Kayode, a former Maccabi Netanya player, scored 17 goals last season in Turkey's second division and is expected to bolster the team's attacking options under coach Yossi Abuksis.
