Iran Accuses US of War Crimes Following Attacks in Khuzestan Province

The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned recent American attacks, accusing the United States of violating international law and breaching nearly all terms of a recently signed ceasefire memorandum. In a statement, Iran declared that only 25 days after the agreement to end hostilities, the US committed severe war crimes. Tehran called on the United Nations and the Security Council to hold accountable all parties involved in supporting the attacks against Iran.

An Iranian source told the Mehr news agency that a "large city" in Khuzestan Province, southern Iran, was targeted. The province's deputy governor confirmed that the "American enemy" struck two areas near Ahvaz, a city known for its oil industry. Additionally, Iran warned neighboring countries against aiding any military actions against the nation.

These developments highlight escalating tensions between Iran and the US shortly after a ceasefire agreement, with Iran urging international bodies to intervene and prevent further aggression.
