Iran Says U.S. Strikes Violate Ceasefire Memorandum
Iran said that the American attack on Iranian targets in the Strait of Hormuz area amounted to a breach of the memorandum of understanding meant to end the war. The statement came after the U.S. strike against Iranian targets in the region.
Tehran said it would defend its sovereignty, security, and national interests “with all its might.” It also said its own “defensive strikes” against targets linked to the attacking American forces were carried out on that basis.
Iran added that all countries on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf must adhere to the principle of good neighborliness.
