U.S. President Donald Trump posted a message today, Thursday, on his social network in which he stated that the United States would attack Iran with force tonight. He also added a description of the results of the strike, noting that Iran’s navy and air force, its radar array, air defense systems, and all of the country’s major defensive and offensive capabilities would “disappear.”
Trump also presented a vision for changing the balance of power in the global energy market. “At some point in the not too distant future, we will seize Kharg Island and other oil infrastructure points,” Trump wrote. According to him, the goal is to achieve “complete control” over Iran’s oil and gas markets.
