LEV Opens Unique Friday-Only Deli and Event Space Near Tel Aviv's Levinsky Market
LEV, a new pop-up delicatessen and café, has opened on Chelanov Street 22 in Tel Aviv, just minutes from the bustling Levinsky Market. Founded by entrepreneur Ravit Meborach, known for her Handmade by Ravit catering, the venue operates exclusively on Fridays from 8:00 to 15:00. It offers a curated selection of artisanal products from small Israeli producers alongside fresh, colorful dishes such as salads, fish, and handmade bakery items. The space also serves as an intimate event venue for up to 50 guests, decorated with Moroccan-inspired soft tones.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of delicacies including focaccia sandwiches, rich egg salad with caramelized onions, oven-baked salmon with balanced Asian seasoning, and self-mix ceviche kits. The deli features specialty items like sourdough bread from Ghinsbread, fermented spreads by chef Ido Kabalo, boutique chocolates by David Zarviv, pastries by Alon Shabo, and homemade preserves from Livniz in the Jezreel Valley. A chilled wine selection complements the offerings, creating a relaxed atmosphere ideal for starting the weekend.
Signature must-try dishes highlighted by Meborach include her moist chocolate squares, a refreshing green tahini spread made with herbs, and a creamy tiramisu dusted with cocoa powder. Prices range from 22 to 130 shekels, with an average spend of 80-100 shekels per person for a full experience including drinks and various treats. LEV plans to host cultural events and collaborations with local artists, encouraging visitors to follow their Instagram for updates.
This new spot provides a unique blend of gourmet food shopping, casual dining, and event hosting, all off the beaten path yet close to one of Tel Aviv’s liveliest markets. LEV aims to offer a tasteful escape and a high-quality culinary experience every Friday.
