China Successfully Tests Rocket Booster Recovery System Using Sea Platform
China has conducted a successful test of an experimental rocket booster recovery system connected to a maritime platform, according to the state broadcaster CCTV. The test involved a Long March 10B rocket launched from the Hainan Space Launch Center in southern China. Approximately six minutes after the separation of the rocket's booster stage from its upper stage, the booster returned vertically and was recovered on the platform. CCTV reported this as Beijing's first successful controlled recovery of a carrier rocket booster, aiming to challenge the United States' dominance in reusable rocket technology.
