Retired Brigadier Dadi Simchi Details Joint Leadership Talks with Benny Gantz

Retired Brigadier General Dadi Simchi revealed in a 103fm interview that he and Blue and White party chairman Benny Gantz are in advanced talks to form a new political alliance. The two have agreed on the basic framework for a joint leadership of the list, with Gantz as the first and Simchi as the second. Simchi emphasized that the alliance transcends traditional left-right divisions and aims to break the existing bloc system to establish a broad Zionist government.

Simchi also discussed ongoing negotiations with Yoaz Hendel, noting disagreements remain, particularly regarding cooperation with ultra-Orthodox parties. However, he denied reports of a breakdown in talks and said they continue to seek solutions. He stressed that after October 7, there is no place for Arab parties in the government.

Regarding the potential return of Hili Tropper, Simchi said it is complicated but welcomed anyone willing to join their vision. He dismissed the possibility of their list supporting a narrow 61-seat majority for either side, insisting instead on enforcing a broad unity government. Simchi estimated there are about 9 to 10 seats in the political "no-man's land" that could enable them to lead this effort.
