Two minors, aged 14 and 16 from Bnei Brak, were arrested and charged for a series of break-ins in the city, including theft of silverware valued at approximately 100,000 shekels from the Tchernobyl Hasidic synagogue. The investigation by the Bnei Brak - Ramat Gan police station began after three complaints over recent months involving break-ins at a synagogue, a residence, and a supermarket.

In June, the suspects broke into the synagogue on Aharonovitch Street, entered the Rebbe's room, forced open a safe, and stole valuable silver items. Although the police did not initially find the silverware, it was later discovered in a yard on Rabbi Rozovsky Street and returned to the synagogue. Fingerprints were taken from the recovered items.

Earlier incidents included a May break-in at a residence on Yarden Street where cash and a checkbook were stolen after a window was smashed, and an April theft at a supermarket on Aharonovitch Street involving snacks and canned drinks. Following evidence collection, the two suspects were identified and detained.

The Tel Aviv District Youth Prosecution filed charges against them for burglary of a place of worship and residence, joint theft, breaking into a non-residential building, intentional property damage, and criminal trespassing. A request for house arrest until the end of proceedings has also been submitted.
