Two Teenagers Arrested for Burglary and Theft at Bnei Brak Municipality
Israeli police received reports of break-ins at the Bnei Brak municipality building on July 10 and July 17, 2026. During these incidents, significant damage was caused to the property, offices, and equipment, and various items including a tablet and mobile phones were stolen. Following the reports, officers from the Bnei Brak station and the Central Unit of the Tel Aviv district launched an investigation.
Using covert investigative methods and technological tools, police identified the suspects and arrested them on August 2, 2026. The suspects are two 16-year-old minors from central Israel. A search of their residence uncovered a large amount of stolen property, including the tablet and mobile phones believed to have been taken during the break-ins.
The suspects' detention was extended by the court, and the Tel Aviv district's Juvenile Prosecution Unit filed serious charges against them. These include burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and property damage. Additionally, a request was made to keep the suspects in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
