Two Teen Suspects Arrested for Twice Breaking into Bnei Brak Municipality in July
Two 16-year-old minors from central Israel have been indicted for breaking into the Bnei Brak municipality building twice in July 2026. The break-ins occurred on July 10 and July 17, during which the suspects caused damage to the offices and equipment and stole several items, including a tablet and mobile phones.
The Bnei Brak police station, together with the Central Unit of the Tel Aviv district, conducted a covert investigation using technological means that led to identifying the suspects. The two teenagers were arrested earlier this week, and a search of their residence uncovered stolen property believed to be from the municipality offices.
The Tel Aviv District Youth Prosecution filed charges against the minors for burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and property damage. Their detention was extended by the court, and a request was submitted to keep them in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
