Palestinian Killed and Two Injured in Suspected Hit-and-Run in Negev Bedouin Area
A Palestinian man in his 30s was killed and two others, aged 31 and 21, were moderately injured in a suspected hit-and-run incident in an open area near the Bedouin community of Harabat al-Azq in the Negev. The three were reportedly being transported by the driver who struck them and fled the scene. The incident was reported at 14:58 to Magen David Adom's Negev dispatch center. Medical teams confirmed the death of the approximately 30-year-old man at the scene and treated the two injured, who were evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba with injuries to their backs and limbs.
A paramedic described finding the victim unconscious and without vital signs, suffering from severe multiple trauma. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances, suspecting the victims were Palestinians residing illegally in Israel near the Shomriya area along the seam line. Traffic accident investigators from the Negev district are examining the case, including the driver’s involvement in transporting the unauthorized residents. Police are actively searching for the driver and vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
