David DeJulius Joins Besiktas for EuroLeague Return in Leading Role
David DeJulius, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv player, has signed with Besiktas, marking his return to the EuroLeague through a prominent role. The agreement was confirmed on July 4, 2026, with the ambitious Turkish club paying a buyout fee to secure his services, according to Turkish reporter Dokuan Yildirim. DeJulius was among the top performers in the Spanish league last season, averaging 17.8 points per game with shooting percentages of 46.3% from the field and 37.9% from three-point range, along with 4.4 assists while playing for Murcia. He previously played for Bursaspor and appeared in 15 EuroLeague games with Maccabi Tel Aviv, averaging four points and one assist per game. At Besiktas, DeJulius will reunite with former Maccabi teammates Ante Zizic and Scottie Wilbekin as the club prepares for competition in Europe's premier basketball league.
