Former Maccabi Tel Aviv Guard David Dejulius Joins Besiktas for EuroLeague Return

David Dejulius, the 26-year-old American point guard and former Maccabi Tel Aviv player, has officially signed with Turkish club Besiktas, which will compete in the upcoming EuroLeague season. Besiktas earned its EuroLeague spot after reaching the EuroCup final and benefiting from the winner, Burgos, opting out of promotion. Dejulius previously joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in November 2024, appearing in 15 EuroLeague games with averages of 4 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. Last season, he played for Murcia in Spain, significantly improving his stats with 17.8 points, 4.4 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game in the domestic league.

Dejulius began his basketball career at the University of Michigan and later at Cincinnati. After going undrafted in 2023, he started his professional career in Europe, playing for Greek club Lavrio, German team Gottingen, Greek club Aris Thessaloniki, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bursaspor in Turkey, and most recently Murcia in Spain. His move to Besiktas marks a return to the EuroLeague stage for the guard.
