David DeJulius Joins Besiktas for EuroLeague Return in Leading Role
Former Maccabi Tel Aviv player David DeJulius has agreed to terms with Besiktas, marking his return to the EuroLeague through a prominent role. The deal was confirmed on July 4, 2026, with the ambitious Turkish club paying a buyout to secure his services, according to Turkish reporter Dokuan Yildirim. DeJulius was one of the top performers in the Spanish league this past season, averaging 17.8 points per game on 46.3% shooting overall and 37.9% from three-point range, along with 4.4 assists while playing for Murcia. Previously, he spent a season with Bursaspor.
During his time with Maccabi Tel Aviv, DeJulius appeared in 15 EuroLeague games, averaging four points and one assist per game. His return to the EuroLeague will see him reunited with former Maccabi teammates Ante Zizic and Scottie Wilbekin at Besiktas. The club aims to compete at the highest level in Europe with this reinforced roster.
