Singer Shimi Tavori Condemns Theft from Late Daughter's Grave in Emotional Video

Israeli singer Shimi Tavori and his partner Yehudit Bauman shared a distressing video on July 3, 2026, showing the grave of Bauman's late daughter Karin, which had been vandalized and robbed. Karin, who passed away three years ago at age 36 after battling severe anorexia for nearly 17 years, had her grave desecrated with many of the decorative stones and expensive flowerpots stolen. Bauman, who regularly tends to the grave, expressed her heartbreak and confusion over the theft, saying, "I don't understand how you can steal the beautiful stones I bought in memory of my daughter." Tavori, visibly angry, cursed the perpetrator, saying, "May God take away his hands. May he not finish this Sabbath. How can you do this to Yehudit? Disgusting, may God repay you." Karin died in May 2023 after suffering from pneumonia and respiratory difficulties, which led to her hospitalization at Ichilov Hospital where she passed away. Bauman had been by her side throughout her long illness, fighting to save her despite Karin's weight dropping to 25 kilograms. The incident has sparked public sympathy and condemnation for the desecration of the grave of a young woman who endured a tragic illness.
