Singer Shimi Tavori Condemns Theft from Late Daughter's Grave in Emotional Video
Israeli singer Shimi Tavori and his partner, Yehudit Bauman, shared a distressing video on social media showing the grave of their late daughter, Karin, which was recently vandalized and robbed. Yehudit Bauman, who lost Karin three years ago after a long battle with anorexia, expressed her heartbreak over the theft of beautiful stones and expensive flower pots from the grave. She said, "I come here every Thursday to water the plants and noticed that half of them were missing. I don't understand how anyone could steal from my daughter's grave."
Shimi Tavori, 73, voiced his anger at the perpetrator, saying, "May God take away his hands. May he not finish this Sabbath. How can anyone do this to Yehudit? It's disgusting, and may God repay them." Karin passed away in May 2023 at the age of 36 after struggling with severe eating disorders for about 17 years. Despite her critical condition, including weighing only 25 kilograms and suffering from pneumonia and breathing difficulties, her mother remained by her side until her death at Ichilov Hospital.
The incident has deeply affected the family, highlighting the pain of losing a loved one and the disrespect shown by the theft at the gravesite. The couple's public sharing of the incident aims to raise awareness and possibly find those responsible for the desecration.
