Israel Prepares for Hamas Winter Propaganda Campaign in Gaza

Israel is preparing for an international winter campaign by Hamas, which is expected to focus on living conditions in the Gaza Strip. A security official stated that Hamas aims to pressure Israel for the reconstruction of Gaza before the organization is disarmed. The official revealed that significant amounts of winter equipment have been brought into the Strip in recent weeks and months. This includes 91,000 tents and 8,200 trucks carrying winter supplies such as blankets, tarpaulins, coats, and warm clothing.

Hamas is reportedly attempting to leverage the third winter of the war to launch a campaign against Israel, seeking to generate difficult imagery of harsh living conditions and tents in puddles. The security source indicated that Hamas is taxing citizens for tents entering the Strip. "This is the third winter, the images Hamas is trying to market to the world are not new. This time we came prepared to repel Hamas's narrative," the official said.

In response, Israel is presenting data on the winter equipment entering Gaza, noting that a substantial portion was purchased by aid organizations worldwide. The security official believes Hamas's campaign is a tactic to pressure Israel into advancing reconstruction efforts before the organization's disarmament. Israel asserts it is prepared to counter Hamas's narrative this winter.
