Bar Belfer, an acclaimed Israeli actress, musician, and journalist, has passed away at the age of 37. She was a recipient of an Israeli Television Academy Award for her role in the film "To Run With Love." Her funeral is scheduled for Monday, November 9, at the Menucha Nechona cemetery in Kfar Saba at 11:00 AM.

Belfer gained widespread recognition for her leading role in Ofer Davidoff's film "To Run With Love," based on David Grossman's novel. This performance earned her a nomination for an Ophir Award for Best Actress. She also received a special jury mention at the Miami International Film Festival in 2007 and won the Israeli Television Academy Award for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film that same year.

In 2007, Belfer enlisted in the IDF, serving as a correspondent and international news editor for the Galei Tzahal radio station. In March 2010, at age 21, she was involved in a serious car accident on Highway 1 south of Tel Aviv. After her car broke down, she stopped on the shoulder and was struck by another vehicle driven by a 77-year-old woman who did not see her. Belfer was hospitalized in critical condition with a severe traumatic brain injury and underwent extensive rehabilitation.

Following the accident, Belfer experienced speech and mobility impairments but eventually made a full recovery. She returned to work at Galei Tzahal in October 2010. After her military service, she continued her career in music and film, earning a degree from Tel Aviv University and participating in various television and film projects. She is survived by her husband, Shahar Cohen, and their daughter. The cause of her death was not disclosed.
