IDF Kills Hezbollah Terrorist Emerging From Tunnel in Ali Taher Ridge Combat
The fighting in Lebanon continues as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated a Hezbollah terrorist who emerged from an underground tunnel in the Ali Taher Ridge area. Earlier on Thursday, forces from the Egoz unit under the command of the 36th Division identified the militant exiting one of the tunnel shafts in the security zone where the IDF operates. The terrorist posed an immediate threat to the troops, prompting the Air Force, guided by ground forces, to strike and neutralize him to remove the danger.
The IDF spokesperson emphasized that troops are actively operating in the Ali Taher Ridge area to prevent Hezbollah militants from exiting the subterranean infrastructure and moving freely in the ridge region. Despite these operations, the IDF has not completed the capture of the Ali Taher Ridge. The political echelon has halted the fighting, leading to a ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
Previously reported by Sarugim, several dozen Hezbollah militants remain trapped inside the underground tunnels, which serve as Hezbollah's command post. The IDF had encircled these tunnels but was unable to destroy them fully due to the ceasefire agreement.
