Wiz CEO Surprises Staff in Thailand with Katy Perry Performance

Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport treated his employees to a lavish celebration in Thailand following the company's $32 billion acquisition by Google. The staff were flown to the island of Khao Lak, near Phuket, for a weekend of festivities. The highlight of the event was a surprise performance by pop star Katy Perry, who sang her hit songs for the employees. This extravagant event is part of a long-standing tradition of lavish employee celebrations at Wiz.

In November 2021, after raising $250 million, the company sent dozens of employees on a vacation to Mauritius, featuring a private 'Survivor' competition hosted by the Host, who was flown in specifically for the event. In March 2026, while Israeli airspace was largely closed due to the ongoing war, the company flew dozens of employees via intermediate destinations to their annual sales event in Las Vegas. This event included a performance by rapper Pitbull and a production concept based on a fictional airline called "WizAir."
