Beitar Jerusalem is set to play against Ironi Tiberias on Friday, aiming to return to winning ways after a disappointing draw against Kiryat Shmona. The team acknowledges they are favorites but recognizes the need to maintain intensity, as a lapse could allow top teams to pull away. Player Almog Cohen, who is suspended, emphasized the need for faster play and finding solutions against compact defenses during a team meeting. Cohen will remain connected via headset, with Moshe Ohayon managing the game on the field. Aviram Brokhiyan will communicate with Cohen, who will be with the analysts in the stands. Due to Cohen's inability to access the locker room, the pre-game meeting was moved to a hotel instead of the field to ensure his active participation.
Beitar will also be without player Timothy Musi. Gil Cohen has been practicing at left-back. The coach has not finalized the starting lineup, considering how the opponent's formation might influence the game. Potential muddy field conditions due to weather could lead to a last-minute decision favoring less technical players. Regardless, 21 players have been called up, including eight foreign players, with Jonbusko Kalu expected to be left out. The coaching staff informed players they will receive a week-long vacation after the match, as they have not had a break and began training early due to European competitions.
The projected starting lineup includes Miguel Silva, Nana Antwi, Bryan Carbelli, Luca Gadrani, Gil Cohen, Alexis Sarana, Adi Yona (or Daniel Worko), Boris Ino, Yarden Shua, Omer Atzili, and Eugene Ansa.
