Woman Found Dead in Negev; Brother Died in Crash Hours Earlier

A woman in her 20s was found dead in her home in the Bedouin diaspora near Nevatim on Thursday, in what authorities are investigating as a suspicious death. She had signs of injury on her body. Police are examining all investigative avenues, and the body has been transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.

Hours before the woman was discovered, her brother was killed in a road accident on Highway 258 near the Hatrurim Junction in the Negev. Paramedics who arrived at the scene found him trapped and unconscious inside his vehicle. Despite their efforts during the extrication, his injuries were too severe, and they were forced to declare him dead.

MDA paramedic Elad Pass and senior MDA medic Israel Katz described the scene of the car crash as "very difficult," noting the driver was trapped and unconscious. They performed medical checks during the rescue but determined his injuries were significant, leading to the pronouncement of death at the scene.
