The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, conducted a situation assessment and tour in the Al-Khiyam area of the Northern Command on Wednesday. He was accompanied by the Commander of the Northern Command the Commander of the Ground Forces, Major General Nadav Lotan, the Commander of Division 91, Brigadier General Yuval Gaze, and other commanders.

During discussions with division commanders, Zamir addressed the enemy's attempts to arm itself, stating that the IDF will not permit Hezbollah to establish terror infrastructure in the region. He emphasized that Division 91 is advancing a forward defense concept, and any attempt to threaten northern Israeli communities will be met with an immediate and powerful response. Zamir further characterized Hezbollah as an Iranian proxy that harms Lebanese citizens' interests, rather than a "Lebanese patriot."

The Chief of Staff affirmed that the IDF is alert to developments in both nearby and distant arenas and is prepared to strike any enemy that attempts to harm Israel, as it has done in the past. During the visit, the "Robotic Combat Team" model was presented for the first time by Brigade 769 and the 869th Reconnaissance Battalion. Zamir praised the initiative of placing robotic and technological means ahead of and alongside forces, directing that the integration of these capabilities among combat forces be accelerated to achieve operational superiority and enhance soldier protection.

Concluding his remarks, Zamir expressed great appreciation to the forces of the Northern Command and Division 91 for their achievements over three years of fighting. He noted that these forces are damaging Hezbollah and stripping it of many capabilities, clarifying that if necessary, the IDF will know how to deepen its achievements on the ground.
