Israeli Police Release Audio of Stabbing Attempt in Lod as Suspect Charges Officer with Knife
The Israeli police released the audio recording of a call received at the emergency center (100) reporting a stabbing attempt in Lod. In the recording, a passerby describes seeing a man sitting on the ground holding a knife near a school, striking the floor with the blade. A Yamam unit officer who received the report immediately exited his vehicle to search the area and encountered the suspect charging at him with the knife. Initially, police classified the incident as a terror attack, but it was later revealed that the suspect had a history of psychiatric hospitalization at the Abarbanel Mental Health Center. The suspect was shot by police and pronounced dead at the scene.
