Edna Arbel, former Supreme Court Justice and Attorney General of Israel, has passed away at the age of 82. Arbel was a prominent figure in the Israeli legal system, known for her influential roles throughout her career. She was appointed District Attorney in 1984 and became a judge at the Tel Aviv District Court about four years later, serving there for approximately five years. In 1996, she was appointed Attorney General of Israel. In May 2004, Arbel was selected as a Justice of the Supreme Court, a position she held until her retirement in the summer of 2014.
