Veteran Educator Yael Gelbert Passes Away at 67 in Bnei Brak
Yael Gelbert, a longtime educator at Ramat Aharon school in Bnei Brak and wife of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Gelbert, passed away at the age of 67 after battling illness. Born in 1959 to Rabbi Eliezer Bogard, former chief rabbi of Beit Shean, and Dr. Chaviva Bogard, she dedicated decades to teaching and mentoring generations of students.
Gelbert was deeply involved in her husband's educational work as the director of the Karlin-Stolin Talmud Torah in Bnei Brak, playing a key role in building a strong Torah community. She is survived by her husband and 12 children.
Her funeral is scheduled for Sunday at 11:00 AM, beginning at her home on Noam Elimelech Street 3 in Bnei Brak, proceeding to the Ohel Yaakov V’Leah synagogue on Rabbi Perdo Street, and concluding at the cemetery in Elad where she will be laid to rest.
