Beloved Educator Yael Gelbert Passes Away in Bnei Brak at 67
Yael Gelbert, a respected educator and devoted family matriarch, passed away at the age of 67 after enduring severe suffering. Born in 1959 to Rabbi Eliezer Bogard, the chief rabbi of Beit Shean, and Dr. Chaviva, a renowned physician, she married Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Gelbert, head of the Karlin-Stolin Talmud Torah in Bnei Brak.
Throughout her life, Gelbert was recognized as a woman of valor who supported her husband’s Torah leadership and dedicated herself to educating generations of girls at the Ramat Aharon school in Bnei Brak. She raised 12 children who continue to follow the path of Torah.
Her funeral is scheduled for Sunday, 20 Tammuz 5786 (July 7, 2024), at 11:00 a.m., starting from her home on Noam Elimelech Street 3 in the Or HaChaim neighborhood of Bnei Brak. The procession will pass through the Ohel Yaakov V’Leah synagogue on Rebbe Perdo Street 2 before burial at the Elad cemetery. The community mourns her loss and prays for her soul to be bound in the bond of life.
