On Sunday, numerous calls were received by the fire department's emergency hotline from residents across the city, particularly in the western areas, complaining of a sharp gas smell. Fire and rescue crews, in cooperation with gas companies and municipal inspectors, were deployed to locate the source and rule out any public danger. Despite thorough investigations, no anomalies indicating gas or dangerous substances were detected.
The renewed reports on Monday, now encompassing additional areas of the city, have left the origin of the odor undetermined.
