Dimona Man Indicted for Manufacturing and Hiding Explosive Device in Ashkelon Playground
The prosecution has filed charges against Oshar Peretz, a 22-year-old resident of Dimona, at the Beersheba District Court for manufacturing an improvised explosive device and concealing it in a playground in Ashkelon. According to the indictment, Peretz constructed the device using a metal pipe filled with explosives, attaching an initiation mechanism and metal screws intended to increase the blast's impact. The device was discovered several months ago hidden in a bush near the playground. In a request to extend restrictive conditions on Peretz, authorities noted that the device posed a risk of mass harm, including to children.
