Israel Adds 8,803 New Millionaires in 2025 Amid Global Wealth Surge

The UBS Global Wealth Report for 2026 reveals a significant 10.8% increase in personal wealth worldwide in 2025, marking the fastest growth since 2017. This rise was driven by strong financial market performance and increased value of non-financial assets. In Israel, the number of millionaires reached approximately 195,000 in 2025, with 8,803 new millionaires added during the year, representing a 4.7% increase from 2024. Millionaires now constitute 3.2% of Israel's adult population, and about 42% of adults hold assets valued over $100,000.

Israel's average wealth per adult stood at $312,108 in 2025, ranking 18th globally, a slight drop from 17th place in 2024. However, median wealth per adult improved from 25th to 24th place, at $83,843. Since the start of the decade, average wealth per adult in Israel has risen by more than 15%. The composition of wealth in Israel is notable for its high proportion of financial assets, which make up 82.1% of adult wealth, the second highest among surveyed countries after Sweden.

Globally, the number of millionaires grew by 1.5% in 2025, adding nearly one million people, with over 2,600 new millionaires emerging daily, about half in the United States. Switzerland remains the leader in average wealth per adult at $910,382, followed by the US at $696,277 and Luxembourg at $654,732. The sharpest wealth growth occurred in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa with a 17.5% increase, while the Americas and Asia-Pacific saw rises of 8.5% and 5.9%, respectively.

The report also highlights a long-term global shift: the share of adults with wealth under $10,000 dropped from about 75% in 2000 to around 41% in 2025, reflecting an expansion of middle and upper wealth tiers worldwide.
