The 2026 UBS Global Wealth Report, released on Monday, ranks Israel 18th worldwide in average wealth per adult, with $312,100 in 2025. This marks a one-place drop from 2024, though Israel rose one spot to 24th in median wealth per adult at $83,800. The report highlights that Israel added 8,803 new millionaires in 2025, a 4.7% increase, bringing the total number of millionaires to approximately 195,000, representing 3.2% of the adult population.
Globally, personal wealth surged by 10.8% in 2025, the fastest growth rate since 2017 and the third consecutive year of accelerated gains, surpassing the 4.6% growth in 2024 and 4.2% in 2023. The strongest regional growth occurred in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at 17.5%, followed by the Americas at 8.5%, and Asia-Pacific at 5.9%. Switzerland remains the wealthiest country per adult with an average of $910,300, followed by the United States and Luxembourg.
The report also reveals that 82.1% of Israeli adult wealth is held in financial assets, the second highest proportion globally after Sweden. Conversely, 14% of Israeli wealth is debt, indicating significant leverage among the population. About 42% of Israeli adults hold net assets exceeding $100,000, reflecting a relatively broad wealth distribution.
Worldwide, the number of millionaires grew by 1.5% in 2025, adding nearly one million new millionaires. The United States accounted for nearly half of this increase with over 440,000 new millionaires, followed by China, Japan, Germany, the UK, and France. North American adults remain the wealthiest on average at $660,000 per person, followed by Australia and New Zealand at nearly $590,000, and Western Europe at over $330,000.
Since 2020, South Korea has led real average wealth growth per adult with an increase exceeding 50%, alongside gains over 25% in Croatia, Norway, Latvia, Taiwan, and Bulgaria. Despite a slight decline in average wealth ranking, Israel maintains its status as one of the world's wealthiest nations amid ongoing global wealth growth trends.
