Israel Ranks 18th Globally in Average Adult Wealth with $312,000

The 2026 UBS Global Wealth Report, released on Monday, shows Israel slipping one place to 18th in average adult wealth, now at $312,100 for 2025, down from 17th in 2024. However, Israel improved one rank to 24th in median adult wealth, reaching $83,800. In 2025, Israel added 8,803 new millionaires, a 4.7% increase from the previous year, bringing the total to approximately 195,000 millionaires by year-end.

This data comes amid a global surge in personal wealth, which grew 10.8% in dollar terms in 2025, the fastest pace since 2017 and the third consecutive year of growth. The strongest regional growth was in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at 17.5%, followed by the Americas at 8.5%, and Asia-Pacific at 5.9%. In Israel, 82.1% of adult wealth is held in financial assets, the second highest proportion worldwide after Sweden, while debt accounts for 14%. Millionaires constitute 3.2% of Israel's adult population, and about 42% of adults hold net assets exceeding $100,000.

Globally, Switzerland remains the wealthiest country by average adult wealth at $910,300, followed by the United States and Luxembourg. North American adults have the highest average wealth at $660,000, with Australia/New Zealand and Western Europe trailing. Since 2020, South Korea has led real average adult wealth growth with over 50%, alongside notable increases in Croatia, Norway, Latvia, Taiwan, and Bulgaria. The global millionaire population rose by 1.5% in 2025, nearly one million new millionaires, with the U.S. accounting for nearly half of this increase, followed by China, Japan, Germany, the UK, and France.
