Beitar Jerusalem Promotes Youth Player Amid Roster Plans for Upcoming Season

Beitar Jerusalem is intensively preparing for the upcoming season, aiming to compete for the championship as declared by Almog Cohen earlier this week. A recent decision by the club is to not recruit an additional left-back alongside Jordan Cohen. Instead, the club is satisfied with the current left-back, Gil Cohen, who will cover the position, with youth player Amit Hilo ready to be promoted to the senior squad if needed.

Additionally, the club is coming to terms with the likelihood that Dan Glazer will choose to join either Maccabi Tel Aviv or Maccabi Netanya, rather than Beitar. This expectation is partly due to those clubs’ willingness to pay a transfer fee to Kairat, where Glazer currently plays, unlike Beitar.

Beitar has also arranged two friendly matches during their training camp in Bulgaria. One opponent will be Arda, a team they defeated 2-1 during last year’s camp. The second opponent will also be a top-tier Bulgarian league team. These preparations are part of Beitar’s broader strategy to build a competitive squad for the new season.
