Beitar Jerusalem Resumes Full Training as Weissman Joins Squad in Bulgaria Camp

Beitar Jerusalem is in the sixth day of its training camp in Pravets, Bulgaria, preparing intensively for the upcoming season. After a full rest day on Saturday, the team resumed a rigorous schedule including morning runs, two daily training sessions, and scheduled friendly matches. Tomorrow, Tuesday at 10:00, Beitar will face Arda Sofia, a team they also played last season. Additionally, a second friendly is planned for Thursday at 18:00 against Kosovo’s Drenica, who finished fourth last season and will compete in the Conference League qualifiers.

Injured players Luka Gadrani, Adi Yona, and Tomer Yosefi continue to train separately for recovery, while Omri Atsili has returned to full training. New signing Sean Weissman arrived fit and is training almost fully with the squad. The training focuses on endurance and tactical drills, with head coach Almog Cohen conducting group and unit meetings to instill his playing philosophy ahead of the season opener.

Coach Cohen addressed the players, acknowledging the challenges ahead: "When it’s easy, everyone wins and thinks they’re the best, but when we dive into the deep end, we see how hard it is. I see how tough it is for you, but we will be together. If you want us to be at the highest level, I dream big and believe each of you can dream big. Now is the time, when it’s hard, not when it’s easy. Now we run like winners, together."

Fan enthusiasm remains high, with over 13,000 season tickets already sold. Sales for new fans will begin tomorrow. The team is scheduled to return to Israel on Friday afternoon.
