Beitar Jerusalem Prepares for European Matches with Squad Updates and Transfer Talks
Beitar Jerusalem has embarked on its preseason training camp in Bulgaria with a 26-player squad as it prepares for upcoming European fixtures. The team aims to be fully ready for the "European game" against Hapoel Tel Aviv and the two Conference League qualifying matches against AEK Larnaca from Cyprus. Among the squad is midfielder Adi Yonah, who is continuing his rehabilitation and is expected to return to play in about six weeks.
The club is closely monitoring the conditions of Tomer Yosefi and Omer Atzili, who are increasing their training intensity after following individualized programs. Atzili is expected to resume full training as early as the next day, with both players anticipated to be fit for the start of the European matches.
On the transfer front, Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest has expressed interest in signing Beitar's midfielder Ailson Tavares. However, Dinamo is currently willing only to take on Tavares's contract, while Beitar demands compensation. Other Israeli clubs, including Hapoel Haifa, Hapoel Ramat Gan, Ironi Tiberias, and Hapoel Jerusalem, have also shown interest in Tavares but prefer to acquire him without a transfer fee.
Additionally, Jan Yusupov is expected to continue for another season with Ironi Modi'in in the National League, while Jan Shikot is likely to be loaned out, with both Ironi Modi'in and Kiryat Gat expressing interest. The club is managing these squad changes as it gears up for the new season.
