Father Arrested for Murder After Son's Death Initially Investigated as Suicide in Ramla

The police announced on Monday that a father, Aharon Saadia, 54, was arrested on suspicion of murdering his son, Shimon Saadia, 25. The incident occurred about a month and a half ago in Ramla, where the young man was found dead. Initially, the case was treated as a suicide, but undercover investigation raised suspicions that it was a homicide. Early Monday morning, the father, a resident of Ramla in his 50s, was taken into custody. The police stated that following the investigation and its findings, the suspect was brought before the court, which approved the police request to extend his detention until July 7. The investigation is ongoing.
