Father Arrested in Ramla After Son's Death Reclassified from Suicide to Murder

At the end of last month, a man in his 50s from Ramla was arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting his son. Initially, the case was treated as a suicide after the son's body was found with gunshot wounds on May 15. However, as the investigation progressed, authorities discovered that the firearm found near the son's body was disabled and non-functional. The father claimed the son's room door was locked from the inside and maintained that his son had taken his own life. Police, however, rejected this version. The covert investigation, which began immediately after the body was found, shifted from suicide to murder based on new evidence uncovered during the inquiry.
